Types of Asbestos Surveys
The type of asbestos survey you need will depend on the property and any work you are planning.
- Asbestos Management Surveys: A management survey helps locate suspected ACMs that could be disturbed during normal use or routine maintenance. Our surveys are carried out in line with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
- Asbestos Re-inspection Surveys: Known ACMs (Asbestos Containing Materials) can become damaged or deteriorate over time. Re-inspection surveys monitor their condition and help ensure asbestos continues to be managed safely.
- Refurbishment Surveys: A refurbishment survey is required before refurbishment or other intrusive building work where asbestos may be disturbed. The survey investigates the areas affected by the planned work.
- Demolition Surveys: Before a building is demolished, a more intrusive survey is needed to identify ACMs within the structure. This helps determine where asbestos must be safely removed before demolition takes place.
