We are hiring! Here’s How you can work with us

As we near the New Year, it’s easy to start thinking about change and the opportunities next year can bring. If you’re looking for a new opportunity, a change of career, the chance to train and gain meaningful skills, or simply looking join a team that shares your ethos and values, we may have a place for you here at Summit Environmental.

Our Opportunities

As demand for robust property management, building safety and risk management continues to rise across the UK, Summit Environmental is expanding. We are currently looking to recruit four new team members, spanning trainee roles, office administration, Health & Safety professionals and Legionella Risk Assessors.

Our work sits at the heart of building safety and risk management, supporting organisations that manage complex, high-responsibility environments. From local authorities and universities to theatres and large commercial estates, our clients rely on us to get things right, first time.

What makes working at Summit different is not just the range of projects, but how we approach them. We believe compliance should be thoughtful, thorough and people-focused. That means giving our teams the time, support and trust they need to do their jobs properly, without cutting corners.

As our project administrator. Lobke Braspennincx says: "Working for Summit allows me to reassure our clients and ensure that they feel supported and cared for in a personal yet professional manner. Whether we work on a small or big project, we always make sure to take into account the individual at the other end of the enquiry."

Whether you are already established in your field or at the very start of your career, Summit offers roles where your contribution genuinely matters, and where quality is valued over volume.

Training and mentorship opportunities

At Summit Environmental, training is not an afterthought; it’s how careers are built.

We actively invest in people who want to develop specialist skills in building safety and risk management, even if they are at the very start of their journey. Our trainee roles are designed to turn motivated individuals into confident, competent professionals, supported every step of the way.

As a trainee, you won’t be left to figure things out on your own. You’ll work alongside experienced consultants, gaining hands-on field experience while learning how compliance works in real environments, not just on paper.

Depending on your interests, trainees can develop expertise across areas such as:

  • Asbestos: Learning how asbestos is identified, assessed and safely managed within commercial and public sector buildings, with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and protecting building users.
  • Legionella: Gaining structured training in water system risk assessment, monitoring and control, ideal for those who enjoy methodical work, technical understanding and problem-solving.
  • Fire Safety: Developing an understanding of fire risk, life safety principles and how effective fire risk management protects people and property, going far beyond box-ticking exercises.
  • Health & Safety: Building practical skills in assessing real-world risks across estates, communal areas and public spaces, helping create safer environments for people to work, live and visit.

Our trainee pathways combine structured training in your chosen discipline with close mentoring from experienced industry specialists, giving you hands-on site experience from day one. Alongside practical learning, we support you in achieving recognised industry qualifications and provide clear progression routes, allowing your skills, confidence and responsibility to grow over time.

If you’re curious, committed and want a career where learning never stops, a trainee role at Summit Environmental can open the door to long-term progression within a growing, respected consultancy.

Office and administration opportunities

Behind every successful site visit and report is a strong office team. Our office and operations roles, based at our Lewes head office, are central to how Summit operates.

These roles suit people who enjoy organisation, problem-solving and being part of a professional team. You’ll work closely with consultants, clients and managers, helping keep projects on track and standards high.

If you want an office role where your work is valued and directly impacts service quality, this is an environment where you can make a real difference.
